36th Table Top Tuesday - Kitchen Counter

Welcome to the 36th Table Top Tuesday.  I am so enjoying all of the wonderful vignettes everyone is creating inside and outside their homes.  You guys are always such a wonderful inspiration.  Thanks so much for sharing all of your lovely creations.

I've changed things twice.  I know, I am nuts!!!!

When you find  new treasures, of course you just have to play don't you!!! I redid the island vignette so I could use my new frenchy rooster tin that I found at Tuesday Morning.
I thought it would be a huge upgrade from the basket for my faux fruit.  I placed a black napkin inside and left the edges show a bit. I also added the cute little lime colored rooster to the mix. Fun, bright and cheery.

Of course I had to play with the new rooster candlestick I found too, so I rearranged a few things in the corner vignette so it would work.  I put the lime ball on top.

Of course I wipe down and clean the kitchen everyday, but once a week when I do my major cleaning, everything gets moved and all the counters and accessories get a thorough cleaning.  I decided to do a major change in the corner arrangement and make it a little simplier.

I took the rooster tray off the wall and moved the new rooster tin over to the corner.  I removed quite a few things from the previous vignette and this looks a lot less cluttered to me.

Love the detail and the colors on this wonderful tole tray.

Several things stayed including the rooster candlestick with my lime ball and the demijohn.

The frenchy rooster tin is sitting on a black and white check tea towel that I had.

My little speckled rooster, wheat bundle and chef remained.

Nice to see the rooster tray down close for a change.

Moving things around meant a small change on the island too. lol  The scales and a pumpkin replaced the tin of fruit.
I always think I am going to minimize all the accessories and have something simple, then when I looked at this, it isn't very minimal.  Guess I havn't learned that trick yet.  lol  When I clean again next week, who knows what I will change. lol

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I always look forward to your visits.  I can't wait to see what you've been up to this week.

  23. Very pretty! You have so many pretty things to work with. Was in an antique mall last Friday and did not see a single demijohn, which is a good thing as I don't have room for one anyway. :D I had one many years ago and think I sold it in a yardsale.
Thanks for hosting again this week. - you are appreciated.

  24. Marty,
I appreciate how the black toile rooster tray makes a dramatic backdrop for your vignette. It is striking! Thank you for giving us permission to "shake it up a bit" in our displays. (Notice the second half of that word is. . .plays?)
    Fondly,

  33. Hi Marty,
I apologize for forgetting to post a comment to you. I posted the TTT, then went in to prepare supper, and forgot when I returned!

You are so good to leave comments, most of the other "big bloggers" don't leave them to everybody anymore. Thank you for doing it! I don't know how you do all you do, lady!! And do it well, I might add!!

I always enjoy seeing what you come up with on your blog! Love that lime green rooster! All the vignettes are really neat, but I think I like the one with the scales on the island, and all the little roosters on the counter under the cabinets!

Thanks so much for visiting me! You're the best!!

  46. I have decided that you can take anything and display it in such a way as to look different and pretty. Of course, it all looks wonderful, but when you brought the toile tray down and put it behind the stuff, that was my "inspirational" moment. It was basically just oooh and ahhh after that.

And how cool is the lime ball?
I love the rooster candlestick it's on, too.

  59. Okay, first of all Marty, I have to say... EVERYTHING is GORGEOUS!!! I love the way you decorate and the wonderful things you collect. Just beautiful. You're right, you have to play with your new goodies when you get them (and your old ones too!).
;-) You're not nuts. I think it's great fun to move things around and come up with various ways of using them in decorating. I think that's our way of playing as adults. We don't just take care of the house, we play with it too. lol

Thank you for sharing your very lovely photos of your gorgeous kitchen and roosters/fall displays. I very much enjoyed visiting with you today.

Blessings and a beautiful day to you,
