Christmas In the Kitchen

Thank you again for all your thoughts and prayers.  My MIL is still the same.  Her sons live out of state and had to go home last evening.  I am so happy they have been able to be here with her.

With the house quiet I am trying to do a little decorating.  The kitchen is always a fun place to start.  I put the sleigh on the island with a pointsetta floral arrangement, Lady Santa and a yummy Vanilla candle.

This little Lady Santa was my mom's, so she is very special to me.

On the counter I thought a cloche with a toy theme would be fun for my Great-grandson.  I love this Raggedy Santa.  He is just so cute with his mop hair and patched pants.

A toy horn, and a big rocking horse.

A little Drummer Boy on a block and a small stuffed Mickey just looked like fun.

Don't forget the "Cloche Party" on the 10th.  I can hardly wait to see all of your beautiful creations.

Now to try and tackle the tree and the outside. Thanks so much for stopping by, I always appreciate your visits.

  7. I'm glad to hear that she's at least holding her own. I know that her sons hated to leave her. We've been there in our family. My heart goes out to them.

Your decorations are as "MARTY" as ever. I love them, especially the cloched up stuff.

I'm not sure cloche is properly a verb, but it ought to be.

  17. Hi Lady M,

Nice to see you back. My thoughts are always with you. We just all hope and pray that your MIL get better, if not at her age, she had done a great job and we know that she will be with the good hands of our dear God.

I want to let you know that I just got your parcel and walking in a heavy snow & still snowing hard, I felt I am walking in the clouds of happiness. When I opened it, it seems you know me and my likes. I adore wrought iron and this are marvelous. GH (great hubby) blushed.

A never ending thank you to the most generous lady in the world. I will posting them on your next TTT.

Now, you relax and take care, OK?

Have a blessed day & the week end ahead if we don't get in touch.

  41. So charming. How special that you have a holiday decoration that was your mom's. I am so disappointed that I didn't take my mom's old ornaments before she donated them. They were probably snatched up by some collector whose enjoying them now.

  44. Your Lady Santa caught my eye because I have one like it. I am downsizing my Christmas girls on Ebay but I just couldn't let her go quite yet. I think it is because it is musical. Anyway, your kitchen is inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
