Packages in the mail, and pretty treasures. When you go shopping do you get tempted to buy something for yourself? I found some treasures that I just couldn't pass up.
First, I won another giveaway!!! Isn't that fun. These wonderful goodies are from Kara @ Elements Interiors. A wonderful cookbook, fabulous candle and the cutest little rooster salt and pepper shakers you've ever seen. Along with a sweet card, they just made my day.
Then yesterday I was trying to do some Christmas shopping, (I really did buy some gifts for family too), I found some treasures that I just had to have. This sweet little frenchy pitcher was in the clearance aisle of HL with a tiny little chip in the base and marked down to $2.50.
Sitting right next to it was this wonderful pitcher with leaves and grapes and it was only $5.
Over in the frame aisle, there were more treasures at 1/2 off, and this frame just jumped in my cart for $3.50
And of course this one had to get in on the act for $6.
You see, I really had to have them because I had two prints that were just perfect for them. Isn't she sweet gathering the eggs.
And she's so adorable inspecting the oranges.
Now I really promise that I will buy the rest of the presents I have on my shopping list and I will try very hard to refrain from shopping for myself.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I always look forward to your visits.
Did you buy yourself anything?

What an awesome shopping day you had! I am loving the pitchers. Can't wait to see what you do with them. Have a great Sunday! Kit
ReplyDeleteHahaha excellent.. yes it's hard to pass things by and not buy it- I can so understand!!
ReplyDeleteWalmart has their fall chargers on sale for $1 a piece. I picked up 4! I've had my eye on them for months and wasn't willing to pay $3 a piece. My patience paid off. La
ReplyDeleteMarty, who could resist those treasures? Love em, especially the pitchers and sweet prints. Merry Christmas! To you!
ReplyDeleteYou have to buy the bargains when you see them, it's the law, well I think it is?? Love the pitchers...too cute!
ReplyDeleteI usually find the best things for me when shopping for others. You couldn't pass up those bargains now could you? :)
ReplyDeleteMarty, I think we are all guilty of that. You couln't possibly pass up those deals now could ya!! Love those pitchers and pictures.
ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeleteThose frames are perfect and I'll be watching for them in your home decor! Gifting ourselves is something we as women should do more often. Think of the everyday gifts we give to all of those around us. . .clean clothing, homecooked meals, lovely decorated homes in which to reside. The gift of our presence and attention, our faithful love and devotion. . .just to name a few!
Thank you for letting us have another glimpse of what is surely to be in store for our viewing pleasure!
Fondly,
Pat
Congrats on the win from Kara, she has a beautiful blog. And yes I do the same. Told hubby not to look in car last night when I got home. Had him thinking it was because of his gifts (and of coarse he did have gifts in there) but so did I. :) But it was all on sale!!
ReplyDeleteYou always find the best things! And how nice of Kara to send you those things! Thank you for the comments you left on my home tour =) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI love how you find all these little treasures! I get so excited when I find little trinkets for home! And yes I sometimes do buy things for myself and usually I just thank my husband and tell him he doesn't have to buy me anything!
ReplyDeleteMarty, I will put it this way...when I go shopping and they ask "do you need a gift receipt?" I feel guilty when I say NO!
ReplyDeleteI always love your prints..those girls are adorable!
Precious Marty...
ReplyDeleteMerry Snowy Day to you,
Kathy @
Sweet Up-North Mornings...
I think you are doing a service to our economy! Besides, every store is having all these wonderful sales & clearances. Who could, or dare I say should, pass up those deals? Okay, now go get the rest of your shopping finished.
ReplyDeleteCAS
Personally, I think it is downright sinful to pass up a bargain!!! Those are great finds, can't wait to see what you do with them!!! hugs...cleo
ReplyDeleteHi Marty!
ReplyDeleteOh you found some wonderful treasures at HL! I can't wait to see those adorable prints in their new frames! I am all done Christmas shopping and yup, I got a few treasures for myself! As a matter of fact, this weeks TTT will show off my new finds! :)
What great finds Marty. There is nothing wrong with treating yourself with a gift. At least you know you'll like it and there will be no need for returns. :)
ReplyDeleteOh I wish I hadn't had to hurry home. It would have been fun to see your super shopper sleuthing habits. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that little pitcher!! Nice package from Kara! She is so funny and sweet!
ReplyDeleteI go by the "one for them, one for me" theory of Christmas shopping, Marty! It makes for a happier holiday shopping experience for me! : ) I do try to be good and I actually have to go to two stores this week after work. I'm figuring I'll be tired enough that I'll just get what I need to and get out without browsing for myself. I love that little French pitcher ~ what a great buy, even with a little chip. Love the frames. I need to get a few myself and I'm hoping Michaels might have some as nice as the ones you found.
ReplyDeleteBeware of making promises that you can't keep... You did good gf !
ReplyDeleteYes - I am guilty of doing the same thing. :D You got some great bargains. Really like that first pitcher. I would be tempted to look for one here, but I am bound and determine to continue on my decluttering mission here. Those prints are adorable.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your win! That was a nice package from Kari. I really love the pictures. Those little girls are adorable aren't they. Very pretty pitchers too. I always find things for me while Christmas shopping too, it's very hard not too, especially when you come across such great deals. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing, Marty. Sometimes I end up shopping more for myself, lol, and for the store. The pitchers are perfect for your collection....Christine
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous goodies, Marty! Love that frenchy pitcher! I am running to catch up! Looks like you had another very successful cloche party! You know I am cloche impaired, but I love looking at everyone else's beautiful creations! I hope you are staying warm...freezing here! Happy weekend!...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteHi Marty! Wow you got such a great haul. The frames are gorgeous! Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog. Have a wonderful Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWinning goodies and then finding bargains, I think you need to buy a lottery ticket Marty!
ReplyDeleteThis is my kinda gal! Since I am out of the toy loop I give cash to my daughter and let her have all the joy of shopping for the grands. So, any shopping I do during the holidays is for me! These are beautiful finds. I'll be looking forward to your displaying them in your beautiful home. Christmas Blessings!~Ames
ReplyDeleteOk, I confess, I too pick up things for myself while out Christmas shopping. I just figure it is my payback for working so hard during this time of year. I love everything you got and would have tried to snag them first if I had been there! What is HL? Sounds like a fabulous place.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly found some treasures. There usually isn't much getting away to go shopping around here, so bargains have to be found on the internet.. sometimes not near as much fun.
ReplyDeletehugs ~lynne~
Marty, Congrats on your win! You got some wonderful things on your shopping trip to HL. Can you believe we don't have HL anywhere near Richmond? I really miss shopping there and getting bargains like you got.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays,
Sherry
When you're getting deals like that, you have to go with the flow.

ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo! You hit the bargain bin jackpot, Marty! Love your finds and those little art works are just adorable.

I wanna go shopping with you Marty! Great finds. We don't have a HL here in Bakersfield yet, but guess what? We are finally getting a Home Goods Store! I am so jazzed about that and even better it's less than a block from my office. I'm thinking of just having my paycheck direct deposited into their bank account for me...lol.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
wow..You are lucky girl!! Wonderful finds!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great shopping day!! I always find the best stuff for myself when I am shopping for others!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shopping day you had. That's the problem with Christmas shopping...it's way too easy to get side tracked and find things for yourself. I seem to find more things for myself during the Christmas season than any other time during the year.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Miss Marty!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE those white pitchers! and the pictures of the girls . . . very sweet indeed. They will look lovely in those frames.
I'm really behind at blogging. I am going to go back and catch up with all you've been doing!
