119th Table Top Tuesday

Wow 119, we are really moving right along.  So much fun and so much creativity out there.  Can't wait to see more.

I love the look of sunflowers, but I don't have any real ones, just the faux variety.  At any rate, I love even my faux.  With summer here, it was time to get out my dad's tool box and enjoy my sunflowers again.  They just make me smile.  A tablecloth for some added color too.

These are really nice ones with such lovely silk petals and the center looks so real.

The wall stayed mostly the same, just a few additions to the shelf.

I added some different fruit and a few springs of ivy, other than that, still the same.

Another wonderful thing that I am enjoying is this shrub outside the window.  It is the one I see every day when I sit down at the computer.  Such a glorious lime green color and the sun makes it look like it sparkles.
Impossible to get a good picture of, but I love it.  It is a Golden Dew Drop, but DH says I have to tell you it is called Duranta. (Before this, nothing would grow and all I saw was the block wall.)  This gorgeous plant loves the part shade part sun.  I kept the desk top simple, just a topiary and the bunny pic.

Looking out my window, this really is so pretty.  Love the bright lime green color.

The next thing that came out were all the fans.  We have ceiling fans, but I also bring out oscillating fans when it gets really hot.  We hit 112, that is soooooooo hot and a little moving air helps keep the a/c set at about 77 and still feel comfortable.   This fan blows on my corner by the computer and definitely keeps me cool.

So, what are you bringing out for summer and are you staying cool?

Now I can't wait to see what you have to share this week.

JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER AGAIN, PLEASE TURN OFF WORD VERIFICATION.    Now that there are two words and they are almost impossible to figure out, it really keeps most from commenting.  It isn't necessary and some don't even realize they have it turned on, so please check and turn it off so we can all comment on your fabulous projects.

Got my little fan out for the bedroom and it decided it did not want to work, so need to go shopping.

  8. Hi lovely lady.
I also love all your toolbox with the Sun flowers how sweet. I have No Tablescape for today. We had to take my Great Dane Sophie to the Emergency hospital today Because she pull a mussel in her rear leg. So she needs lot of love from me. I hope you have a wonderful week with your family.

  9. I love the sunflowers, Marty! I just read Kim's comment...I ditto what she said.:-)

As for Summer and such. We had cool days that were about to come to an end. I was down by the creek yesterday morning getting my table together for Kathleen's beach challenge. I wanted to do an outdoor table and I knew if I waited much longer the heat and humidity would be back in business. Got pretty warm but the sun stayed behind the clouds until I was finished. The rest of my tables, for Summer, are indoors or on the porch until Fall.LOL

Thanks so much for hosting TTT.

  11. Love your sunflowers in the toolbox, Marty! Such a great summery look. We have been having such beautiful weather here. I hope it sticks around for awhile. We use our ceiling fans, but that's about it. We generally keep the AC at about 74, maybe 72 at the hottest point during the day {and that's only if I'm home}. I'll be checking out the condo pool once the heat hits, so that will help conserve some energy.

  12. Wow Marty, I can't believe it's been 119 TTT. Time flies when we are having fun, so thank you for hosting such a great party every week. Love all the little ways you've fluffed up your nest for summer. Love the sunflowers in the tool box. I have a neighbor with a row of sunflowers blooming and they are so pretty. I should plant some, next year!
Thanks Marty, have a great week.

  16. Marty,
I L O V E Sunflowers, dear friend!!! Mine aren't out...just yet..but soon, very soon!!! That tool box full of Sunflowers nearly took my breath away! Gorgeous! We have our ceiling fans going and I believe we have the same oscillating fan, as the living room doesn't have an over~head fan! We're keeping the temp indoors at 77 this year, also!!!bThank you for hosting this weekly meme...it's one of my favorites! I appreciate your words of wisdom concerning word verification. With tri~focals, ( that's three sets of lenses) word verification is a nightmare!!!

  17. I also bring out the fans. Heard that it is raining in Australia. I asked them to send some our way. Love the green. Does it bloom? Anything green in our part of the country in the summer is welcomed. I frequently get verdolaga growing & I just let it grow. It is wild. Thanks for sharing.
