Summer Cloche Party

Welcome to the 2012 Summer Cloche Party.  I can't wait to see what all you guys have created, you are always so clever and so fun.

There are two cloches that are always on my kitchen counter.  They were both gifts from my son, so they are super special to me.  They change often, however, I think you have seen these displays before.  My cute little farmer couple and a cow in my favorite rooster cloche.

The cakestand coordinates with the rooster cloche and right now it is holding some faux cheese, grapes and croissants.

Here are a few from the past that you might remember.

While I was trying to put a couple of things together, DH called me to the family room and said  "Show Mine - Show Mine".  I got a chuckle that he had gone outside and found one of his rare plants and put it under my really huge cloche.  He insists that his is the proper use of the cloche.  lol, This man just doesn't realize what all we ladies can dream up to put under one. lol  ( I love that he likes to join in on the fun.  He thought he was really clever. )

This one is from his Cacti and Succulent Collection, really rare and about to bloom.  See those really tiny little tall stems, they have itty bitty buds on them.  It's going to make really little flowers, then he can collect really, really, really tiny seeds.

Ok, now let's see what all you guys have put together.  Remember, it can be any kind of container that you can decorate in or under, so let's get the party started.

  6. I made it Marty! Can't believe I did. Only three examples as we are at the lake hoping our home sells soon. Our realtor sent the listing this afternoon. Looks great! Anyhow...we have been so busy I haven't been able to blog correctly. Hoping I can get back in the swing now, as we wait for our house to sell. Of course we need to be out house hunting also! Busy and exciting days here.

As always, I love your cloches. Thanks so much for hosting!

It was like losing one of my own kids. They are so fun and versatile and you've done all of yours up proud. I linked up a couple of mine for the party. Thanks for hosting.

    Gros bisous.

  35. Thanks so much for having your fun seasonal cloche party...this time last year was the first cloche that I bought so that I could come to your summer party. When I did a group of terrariums last January, the one that kept going longest and strongest was the one that had the cloche over it...DH might be on to something.

  36. Oh Marty, I love that your husband participated, and of course, he's right about the intended use of a cloche. He did great! I still just love your farm scene under the cloche. And oh, that green salt and pepper and other kitchen items stole my heart too. You are definitely the cloche queen and your ideas under glass are always fabulous. Thank you for hosting. Somehow I got it in my head that the party wasn't until the 27th, so I'm running late getting my post up. laurie

  58. Oh, Marty, your collection of cloches is so lovely. I've admired your many great specimens since I first started following your blog. So cute that your hubby wanted to participate. He is right about how what their original purpose was, but decor enthusiasts haven't taken them to a much higher level & purpose. Thanks for hosting this lovely party.
