Something to crow about. The farmers and animals just started gathering on the island, seems they loved how pretty and shiny the granite is when it is all polished.
Something to crow about. The farmers and animals just started gathering on the island, seems they loved how pretty and shiny the granite is when it is all polished.
On my quest to get all of my deep cleaning done, the family/breakfast rooms were finished and then I really tackled the kitchen. From top to bottom, a really good scrubbing and polishing. Now I could play and create something fun.
I have been really deep cleaning every room and this week it was the kitchen. The island got some really special love. My sinks were treated to some extra care to remove some scratches and then polished to a bright shine. I did a whole post previously about how to shine up those stainless sinks and remove scratches, you can see it here.
So of course, a new vignette had to be created.
Now onto the rest of the kitchen. I spend so much time in here, it's always fun to change things up, and I definitely love playing with different vignettes.. Again, just shopping the house, so totally free.

Marty, we have granite counters. Thanks for the tip on the Granite Gold. I'm going to look for that product. And of course I smile at the thought of your roosters and cows. I'm totally in love with your resting cow. Adorable! Enjoy your weekend. ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip on the Granite Gold, I will get some tomorrow! This is the first time I have had granite and wasn't sure what product would be best. I always love your vignettes. I was just thinking about starting to get my Spring/Easter things out!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am LONGING for Spring. XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteI love how you pulled together the vignette. The pieces under the cloche are adorable. I am curious about the method and/or products you used to remove scratches and get your stainless sink to shine. Our basement kitchen sink could use some work.
ReplyDeleteLooks good, Marty! Shopping the house is the best way! Thanks for the tip on Granite Gold. We had granite put in this past summer. I am really enjoying it, but it's dark so it can easily get dull. I'm going to give your product a try!
ReplyDeleteMarty, great post! Thanks for the revisit to your post about fine Scotch Brite and the methodology to use with it(ex. follow the grain). Great advise! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMarty I love the new vignette. I wonder if the Granite Gold will work on other hard surface areas similar to granite.
ReplyDeleteI think I will try it and find out.
I have always loved your little french people. The greenery added that needed touch. And the rooster you can never go wrong with nor the little pig hiding down there by himself.
Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI use the same cleaner and polisher... did mine yesterday and you're right, nothing like that shine! Love your vignettes!!
ReplyDeleteI love free! I am always so busy with thinking about tablescapes, I forget to change up the accessories in the rest of my house. I really need to get busy. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the little couple with the cow in the cloche...you inspire me to make a few changes in my decor...I scrubbed everything...now to redecorate!! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour vignette looks wonderful Marty! And the kitchen is just sparkling! Maybe this will help motivate me to do more deep cleaning! (One can always hope! LOL)
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing the vignettes you create on your counter - so pretty - now going back to read about how to get scratches out of my sink!
ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeleteTODAY was the day I was to begin my "deep" Spring cleaning. . .
but I just can not tear myself away from these lovely SNOW white views from my windows!!!
. . .and Monday we're to get MORE S N O W!!! I L O V E SNOW!!!
Guess I'll start with the kitchen. That way I can watch the SNOW through the patio doors!!!
Always inspiring ideas abounding @ A Stroll Thru Life!!!

Deep Cleaning...I'm not familiar with that term...LOL. (just kidding)
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen looks so good and pretty vignette on the island.
Marty, thanks for the tip on the granite gold, my new granite countertops will be installed in 2 weeks....and I'm already wondering how to care for them so they last a long time. Thanks! Next time I'm at Bed Bath & Beyond I'm grabbing some gold. (I cheated, instead of asking you where ya got it I enlarged the pic 200% to see the sticker, lol)
ReplyDeleteI think you mentioned Granite Gold before...and you are right! It's great. Love a gathering of farm yard friends. I am always a sucker for a roo or two! Jane
ReplyDeleteWow Marty send some of that energy my way! Your granite looks beautiful and your sinks look fabulous- I'll have to see what you used! Your cloche vignette is perfect. I like the effect of the raffia with the farm scene!
ReplyDeleteLove the vignette...course, I am partial to the animals. I still haven't got any of the GG....but I have to look for it. Thanks for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteYou are giving me the itch to spring clean!! Thanks for the tip. beautiful vignette for that nice sparkling kitchen!
ReplyDeleteSweet vignette. Your sink and granite counter-tops look brand spanking new! Wow. Beautiful!

the Kitchen looks GREAT! The sink looks emaculate!
ReplyDeleteYour granite is stunning. I love its colour. And the vignette is adorable! The couple looks like they come from a crèche (nativity), is that so?
