Tweaking the Coffee Table a Little

I think spring fever has definitely hit, and I just have a need for change.  Neutral in the living room and now some bright cheery colors in the familyroom.  With that came the desire for a small change on the coffee table.

I am keeping the scales, just changing things up a big.  I am so happy that brass is back in vogue, I love the glow it gives to everything.

Did you notice the crystal candy dish I found on a recent thrift shopping outing.  Gorgeous for $3 don't you think?

This scales is so fun from both sides, even the back has such lovely detail.

I know I change things almost every week.  But when you clear it all off to clean, it just seems like the perfect time to tweak a little, don't you think?

(Don't forget, you can still link up to Inspire Me Tuesday here.  Plus be sure to come back for Saturday's post, I have an amazing Frenchy/Farmhouse giveaway.)

  2. That scale just makes the whole vignette click. I think brass got a bad wrap from all the too shiny cheap looking brass was all over. Antique brass is good.

  13. I am just like you, always tweaking things! I can be chatting on the phone or watching a movie with my hubby and something in my decor will catch my eye, I'll just HAVE to get up and move it around or move it to an entirely different place in my house, replacing it with something else. Until it looks just right I can't leave it alone. Is that OCD? Haha! Your coffee table looks great Marty dear. Blessings to you, Patti

  18. Well you don't have to justify changing things around often with me! I'm right there with ya. I love that scale! It's such an interesting piece. The crystal candy dish has a very nice lid. I think crystal looks so pretty against dark furniture too.

I adore how your scale looks fabulous from both sides!!!
The plant gives us a true hint of what is taking place out~of~doors!!!
I agree, each time I run the dust cloth around the tables...something gets moved or added in the mix of things!!! Lovely vignette!
