Show Your Love On Valentine's

We don't make a big deal out of Valentine's and I don't decorate for it at all, but I do like to have a little treat for my family.

If you have a lady on your list, this is a really cute little "love" gift.  I made this one for my daughter.  A candle, dish and tiny cloche from Goodwill that I had in my stash.  Just glue the dish and candle together and you will have the perfect little crystal compote.

Add a faux candy candle from the dollar store, top it with your cloche, add a pretty ribbon, and it says "I Love You" in a special way.

If you have some guys on your list, then this one is really simple.  I picked up these little take out boxes from Michaels for $1.49 each.  They come in all kinds of colors, but I like the silver glitter best.

Fill it with some rafia and a huge candy kiss from the grocery store.

Close it up and you have the perfect masculine gift for the men in your life.

Super simple and super easy, but a special way to say "I Love You".

I am thrilled to be joining 19 more ladies for a very special Valentine's Showcase.  Be sure to click on the links below and see all of their wonderful creations.  I am sure you will find tons of inspiration to help you show your love this Valentine's.

  2. Hi Marty! We are not that big on Valentine's day either. I don't decorate for Valentine's day, but I've seen some pretty decor around blogville! Love your idea, so sweet!

  5. That is absolutely adorable Marty - your daughter is going to love this! I'm like you, I don't decorate for Valentine's Day nor do we really go all out to celebrate. I'd rather do special little things that say I Love You all year long. ~Marie@The Interior Frugalista

  8. Hi Marty:

Great ideas. I like how you considered the masculine set as well. They do seem to be a challenge at Valentine's Day.

Wonderful to be co-hosting with you.

  10. Neat ideas, Marty! I bought some of those cute little chocolate candy candles from Dollar Tree. They really smell good without even burning them!

I don't generally decorate for Valentine's Day, either, although I do like to set a nice table if my husband and I are celebrating at home. (Heck...he's rarely even home since he sees patients on into the evening sometimes. I'm used to it after all these years, though!) I might throw a wreath up on the front door, too, but that's about it.

Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend, and thank you so much for sharing these cool ideas!

  15. Valentine's Day is my anniversary so I have to celebrate a little! Okay, a lot! But we do dinner at home on the 14th and avoid the crowds while celebrating it with our kids.

I love this gift idea and I love a fun Goodwill find! Thanks for joining us!
