An Everyday Tablescape For The Breakfast Room

I like to have something pretty but easy for the breakfast table that can stay there everyday.  Since it is part of the family room, I always try to coordinate them.  I used brown/white and silver for the family area, so a similar color scheme is used here.

Brown/white and wheat.  Simple and easy.

This fabulous fruit topiary has so much detail, one of my favorite goodwill finds.

The infamous Big Lots dishes are still one of my favorites.

Do you have an everyday tablescape too?

  2. Your table looks very inviting and beautiful. My favorite I think are those checkered napkins, they just pull my eye. We don't have a daily table-scape I like to set the table for dinner, but nothing that is permanently sitting on the table. Out cat likes to make himself comfortable on the table and that wouldn't be fun for me with all the plates on top. :)

  3. Ooh, Marty, I like those placemats and charges! Are those wicker mats with leather chargers? And yes, your centerpiece is killer.

    1. They are fiber tables runner and the chargers are ones I found at Pier 1 years ago. They are made to look like tortise with a wicker edge. Thanks, I like the combination too. The table runners I've seen at Target. I think mine came from Home Goods, but they are available in several places.

  5. Your table looks so pretty, Marty! Your GW find is a killer. We use our table daily, so I try to always have a very simple centerpiece that is easily removed if it's in the way.

  13. Very pretty, Marty. I don't have an everyday tablescape, but whatever I put on our table has to be easy to move out of the way for when we have dinner. I hate having to move a bunch of stuff to set the table, so I try to keep it to something that I can just push off to the side and then move back.

  18. Beautiful table! I love the brown/beige and white -- so refreshing after the "bling" of Christmas! My everyday (and sometimes my company) tables are set with my beloved blue and white! Centerpieces change, china and silver doesn't! I never tire of it!

  20. Lovely! Perfect for everyday in every way. The neutral colors say welcome in a most charming way. I love having the kitchen table set for breakfast, we change it out seasonally and by holidays. Curiously my husband just adores helping with how we set the kitchen table.

  21. Oh Marty, so pretty! I found a small version of your fruit centerpiece at Goodwill, too -- but it was very VERY colorful. I painted it in chalk white -- and sold it. :-) I'm ruthless sometimes. Happy New Year, my friend!
