Thrifted Thanksgiving Table

I am thrilled to be included in the Thoughts Of Home Stunning Thanksgiving Vignettes blog hop.  If you are coming here from White Spray Paint - welcome.  I am sure you loved her style as much as I do.  If you are new here, I am thrilled to have you.

I am showcasing my Thanksgiving Table and a little about how I put it together.  I believe a pretty table can be done with thrifty treasures found at Goodwill, the 99c Store and digging through my stash.

I added a little bit of bold color in my 2016 Fall Home Tour 11 - bright blue velvet pillows for some  added punch to my color scheme.  Since my dining area is part of the living room, I wanted to add a little of that blue to my table too.  I dug through my stash and found some pretty fall foliage, flowers, berries and a touch of blue.

I like for my colors to flow and this ties in the blue pillows and also the orange in the leopard pillows.

Brass candlesticks and gold chargers from Goodwill add glitz and sparkle to the table.

We have a simple tablesetting with the white octagonal plate from Goodwill and ivory flatware from my stash.  I found these fun salad plates at HomeGoods - $7.99 for 4.  I loved the pretty circles and of course you know I love anything gold.

The wine glasses I've had for quite a while.  I found them on the clearance aisle of Home Goods for $2.00 each.    The pretty water glasses are treasures that were left to me by my Mother-in-law.  I think these add a bit of elegance to the tablescape.

White candles from the 99c store are perfect on my Goodwill brass candlesticks.  I like to mix and match styles and sizes for interest.

A pretty table that didn't break the bank or ruin the budget to put together.

I hope you got a few ideas about how to add your thrifty treasures to your table too.  Be sure to check back next week for Table #2.  We are having 12 for Thanksgiving, so I will be using the table in the breakfast area also.

Now next up on the tour is Simple Nature Decor.  Be sure to hop over and see her beautiful vignette.  Below is a list of all the participants this week and don't forget that yesterday was the linky party, so be sure to link up your Thanksgiving vignettes too.

  1. Marty, thank you so much for being part of our Thanksgiving Vignette tour.
Your stunning tablescape is as elegant and chic as your vignettes always are.
What is my favorite part , aside from the cobalt/navy blue addition? That you have combined your personal treasures like your mother-in-law's glasses with thrifted treasures.
Thank you for being part of our Thanksgiving tour . It means the world to me.

  2. Oh my sweet friend you have truly outdone yourself. What a gorgeous table vignette! Your pairing of orange and cobalt blue with touches of gold is simply spectacular. It is truly hard to believe that many of the elements are and Goodwill finds because everything is so beautifully arranged. From the bottom of my heart thank you so very much for adding such beauty to the Thoughts of Home tour.

  3. Oh Marty your home always looks beautiful, but wow I love the blue! It seems like so many people are deviating from traditional fall colors this year and it's so refreshing! I never thought leopard would work with blue, but you have pulled everything together so perfectly! I am excited you found a new house, and can't wait to watch your progress and see how you bring your touches in!

  14. Marty, I love your gold pieces. I am thrilled gold is back and back big. It never left at my house! You did a great job on your table. How smart to pull the blue from your sofa pillows for napkins and a touch of blue in your floral centerpiece! It is amazing you found so much at Goodwill, etc. Your gold etched glasses are beautiful and your fun salad plates add a special zing!
