If you have followed me for a while then you know that we have sold our home and are packing everything up and getting ready to move. Movers will be here on Dec. 17th to load us up. As we speak I am looking at a shambles of a house and tons of boxes. That left me with the problem of nothing to share that is fresh and unique. So hopefully you will enjoy a few snippets from last year. Next year I hope to go way over the top in a new home, but this year please excuse me.
The family room has been the room where we hang out all the time, so it is the first place I love to decorate.
I love using what I have and adding a few new things each year. Mixing High-Low-Goodwill Thrifted and loved treasures from past years
Red plaid and leopard just seems to go with this room, so some fun plaid and fur pillows from AtHome were my jumping off point.
Add in a little leopard, a vintage santa, tree and ornaments and it feels like home.
Isn't he gorgeous, a fabulous Goodwill find a couple of years ago.
(Be sure to check your local thrift stores after Christmas.)
Here's a little sneak peak at my Goodwill Carolers too.
These are such fun and pretty Carolers all dressed in their beautiful red and green velvet.
The adjoining breakfast area got a little plaid and fur too.
I couldn't resist these really cute cableknit deer from AtHome. They added that special touch to our table this year.
Be sure to check out my DIY On The Cheap tutorial for the plaid runner and napkins here.
Christmas plates were a Goodwill find a couple of years ago.
Plaid made it's way into the bedroom too. I think plaid is my new favorite Christmas decoration.
A little plaid ribbon and my favorite reindeer is ready.
My dining room was decorated with touches of white and gold. I love these beautiful carolers that I found at Goodwill after Christmas last year. They are so beautifully dressed in their velvet and fur.
The birth of our saviour Jesus and the meaning of "Christmas".
Last of all, this was our living room and tree from last year. (Notice we didn't have the new wood floors yet)
I can't wait to see how the new home will turn out for our Christmas next year. (living room)
Thank you so much for joining me and I would love to wish you and your loved ones the most wonderful Christmas ever.
