This is just one small section of their rug inventory. I didn't want to take pictures of the others because there were a lot of shoppers in that area and I didn't think that would be too cool. As you can see it says $99.00. Most of these are 6 x 9. The yellow labels on the rugs are on clearance for only $50.00. Can you believe such a bargain.

Now we're going to start looking at all the fabric aisles. There are bolts like this on each side of the aisles, and there are 12 of these aisles. Look at the prices, beautiful decorator fabrics at $6.99 yd. Most stores you would have to pay 3 times that amount. Even JoAnn on sale is twice this price or better.

Every color and type of fabric you can imagine. Look way down at the end of the aisle and you can see big wonderful tassel tiebacks. These are $5.99 to $8.99.

More colors and types of fabric. I didn't take pictures of all the aisles, just the ones that didn't have a customer in them and just to give you a sample of all the wonderful fabrics.

Now this is a section of the store that just has clearance bankrupt stock. $3.00 yd. for 54 inch wide decorator fabrics. This shows a ton of cottons, outdoor fabrics, linens and all types of weaves and patterns. You have to pull out tons of bolts to see what's in the back.

Still in the clearance section. Chenilles, velvets, brocades and plush fabrics of all kinds, and these are $3.00 yd. too. You can also see more of their rug section. These are the 8 x 10 and 12 x 15 sizes. They cost $149.00 to $199.00.

A view at the other side of the clearance section. Just look at all the wonderful fabrics.

I have to drive about 25 miles to get to this place, but when I get there it takes me hours to look through everything. I didn't even get a picture of the trim section. I was there buying some toile and some trim to finish making new pillows for my LR for a Country French look. I just love this store and thought you might enjoy browsing around too. This store use to be called Home Fabrics, now they have changed the name to Fabric and Upholstery Discount. There are stores all over the country like this with the same pricing that go by the name Home Fabrics. Look and see if you have one. What a great treat to just browse.
Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate it.
Hugs, Marty
Hi Marty...Is this Home Fabrics? We have two of them here...I bought my living room sofa fabric there for $5.99 yd. They didn't have enough to do the matching loveseat, so I did it in cream, and then the other day, they had a new bolt at only $3 yd. so I bought enough to do the back pillows. They have wonderful fabrics, and prices are unbelievable! They have curtains, rods, and trims as well...a great place to shop! Hope you got some beauties there! Mary
ReplyDeleteMArty This is like my dream store, what is the name of it?? I want to check to see if there are any local store in our area. And to think I was just in Arizona and I knew nothing about this store! Darn, Sue
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that even though they are a discount place, the fabric is organized by color. Looks like a great place to shop.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marty, that was interesting. It must be hard to make a decision with so many choices. As you know,I don't sew but the rugs interested me.So cheap,I wish there was a store like that only 25 miles away from me.Oh what fun but I would guess leave most husbands at home when you go there.
ReplyDelete((hugs)) Cyndi
I'm getting in the car now....I will call you for directions once I get on the road......

Hey Marty :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic post! I bought my dining room rug at a place similar but I didn't remember the name of the store.
Was this one in the East Valley?
Rainey
Hi Marty..there is nothing better then a discount fabric store...We have a few good ones here in Atlanta but I have yet to find one that has carpet bargains like that.....
ReplyDeleteI wanna go there right now, Marty! What a fun place to browse! Youa re so lucky for having so many neat shops which are driving distance from you....Christine
ReplyDeleteMarty, Wow, there isn't anything like this store around here, maybe Houston or Dallas. I saw some great fabrics I would love.
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you are to have this neat store close by.
Barbara
What a beautiful store! Makes my heart skip beats! I so wish we had one of these here.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. Would love to see pics of those pillows when you get done :0)
Sherrie
Wow Marty, you weren't kidding. This place is incredible. I could stay there for hours, but with my indecisive nature I'd probably leave without anything (or more likely too much of everything lol) I can't believe a 12 x 15 rug for 199.00! That's amazing! Thanks for sharing this, I'm going to go play with google and see if I can find one anywhere near us. Have a great weekend. Hugs, Kat
ReplyDeleteLove this post.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by and I hope you will visit often. I look forward to getting to know you.
Cheri
Wow Marty! This is really amazing! I can't believe the prices! I am telling you, you have the best bargain shopping around! I can't wait to see what you do with your pillow fabrics! Have a great weekend...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteThis is the way to shop for fabric - everything right at your fingertips, so you can see and feel the material and see what a big piece looks like.
ReplyDeleteWe have a couple of great fabric stores here in Atlanta that are like this - there are way more bargains at your fabric store, though!
I checked and found one a little over 30 miles away. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would never get out of there!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a super day!
hugs and blessings,
Barbara jean
Ooh, Marty! I just love going into fabric stores! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteXXDenise
Marty,
ReplyDeleteGreat post!! What unbelievable prices. My home would be full of beautiful area rugs if I had a store like this!!
Your post was right on time. So many bloggers are writing about making new pillows and things to get ready for Fall. I have seen so many pretty fabrics on these blogs.
Thanks for the virtual shopping trip, my friend. Have a wonderful day!! :-)
xoxo
Jane
lovely store. I have a thing for fabrics and papers!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic. I'm going to look up the nearest store to me. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte
I Marty...I just discovered (this week)a place just like this one in Modesto. It's been there for a few years, I just never stopped. I was overwhelmed at all the choices and great prices. I was checking out the outdoor rugs for my patio. Thanks for sharing. Mumzie :)
ReplyDeleteI am so totally JEALOUS! Oh my goooooodness. I cannot believe the prices, and you're right, not even on sale at Joann....I tried to look it up but can't find a website where I could find their locations. I've never heard of it, so I'm pretty sure there are none close-by....DARN it. I'm looking for a very pale blue for my bedroom and haven't found a thing.........I saw LOTS of them in your pix. It might be cheaper have a trip to Arizona than it would be to buy all that I need here! :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Marty!
Hugs,
Spencer
What luscious colors in so many shades! I use to quilt, and I was in heaven in a fabric store.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Hi Marty, thank you for the comment and visiting my blog. I have popped over to yours and will be back again very soon, Jackie in UK.
ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you are. I have to drive 45 minutes to even get to a Wal Mart and that town just got TJ Max a year ago. I think I'm ready to go back to the city. Show us the pillows as soon as you are finished with them. I'm going to look on line and see if they might have a store in Charlotte, a road trip might be in the future.
Sandy
oh, that is like a carnival of fabric and rugs!!! I could spend a lot of day dreaming time there!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go there! maybe Robin can stop by and pick me up on the way! LOL!
Suzanne
Hi, I just got weak looking at all those pictures of yours of fabric bolts. Fabric just moves me! big smile! Great post. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Debbie
I don't know if we have one of those! The name sounds familiar, but I think the one by us closed down!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check...I could definitely lose myself in this store!
I want to go so badly now! What great deals and I love that they are all color coordinated as well! Thank you for the info. I had no idea these places existed.
ReplyDeleteMarty, what a wonderful piece of heaven this was. I love browsing and shopping in a fabric store. I used to work in one years ago and really didn't take home a paycheck at the end of the week after adding up all my purchases through out the week. lol.. This was alot of fun.. hugs ~lynne~
ReplyDeleteMarty, Wow where is this place I need to find one close to me...
ReplyDeleteJulie
Those prices are amazing!! I'll have to find out if there is a Home Fabrics near where I live.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip.
When I lived in San Diego they had Home Fabrics. I loved that store. I wish there was one closer to where I live now.
ReplyDeleteI could spend hours in here, too! What a great place!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. Thanks for the visual tour, Marty.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to search and see if there is one of these stores somewhere near the corn. I'm going to make my first attempt at recovering dining room chair seats very soon.
I could spend weeks in a place like this! Between this and your Goodwill store, I think I need to move to your area of the country! laurie
ReplyDeleteHi Marty....
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to bother you again....you already gave me the website for these folks, but I cannot find it again. Would you mind sharing it again? There were none in my area....(Washington)...the closest was Idaho, but I don't recall where.
Have a wonderful week!
Huggies,
Spencer
