Frenchy Country Check Pumpkins

I finally dug through all the bins and did a little fall decorating in the living room.  I am really keeping it super simple.

I love the check fabric on the table and the pillows, so I pulled out the check pumpkins I made last year and decided to use them on the coffee table to continue the frenchy, country rustic theme.

I elevated the larger pumpkin on a brass tiered stand that I've had for years.  It gave it some importance.

This is the tutorial I shared last year on how to make fabric pumpkins.  Mind were really simple, this is what I started with this year.  Just a couple of leaves, so I thought they needed something extra.

I freshened them up with a new leaf and berries, and they look so much better.

The small one got a new leaf and some berries too.

A little shiny gold and silver to add some glitz and sparkle, a few acorns and I was done.

I think it flows well with the glitzy rustic centerpiece I created for the dining table. You can see that post here.

I love the look of gold and silver and I like to mix them in a room.

I am really enjoying the browns and greens for a softer look for fall.

I left out orange this year, how about you, did you decorate with the traditional oranges and reds?

    1. Darling! I forgot to take a picture of my fabric pumpkins... :(
I used a lot of burgundies, sage and orange this year. I got rid of all my old fall silks and bought new when HL had a sale.

  11. I am thinking simple this fall too. Your pumpkin display is a great fall look for the rest of the room.

  12. I love the idea of keeping it simple. Especially when the simple is so attractive. I like the fabric pumpkin. I am thinking of spray painting a couple of pumpkins and then stenciling them. All I need is time to do it.

  13. Marty, your fall decor is so pretty! The pumpkins are wonderful! You always create such beautiful vignettes!

  14. Your coffee table display is stunning! I like seeing all the different colour schemes and textures bloggers come up with to reflect the fall season. Indeed, brown and green are the colours we see before the leaves turn "all the way" and you've shown us how lovely they can be..

  15. Love your pumpkins Marty, and love that big acorn. I have never seen them before and now I keep seeing them. Guess I am out of the loop. ;)

  16. Hi Marty, I love your decor! I just started blogging, but I still haven't put my own fall decor out--too warm for me :)

  17. Soooo pretty, Marty! I love your Fall color palette ... your fabric pumpkins are so sweet ... loved that you mixed silver and gold in for fun pops of "bling," and your green accents work beautifully with it all (love the green/brown/white pillows)!

  18. I love the soft greens and browns. Orange is sometimes harsh to work with. You mixed everything beautifully. I love your fabric pumpkins.

  19. I love how you have decorated for Fall, Marty. I love the checks and those pumpkins are adorable. I need to drag my Fall stuff out this week-starting tomorrow I think- xo Diana

  20. I love your vignette, Marty! Your pumpkins look great. I love how they work so well, not just in your living room, but with your whole home. I'll bet they would fit in great anywhere you decide to put them.

  21. Wish I had some of your gorgeous pumpkins Marty, mine are all store-bought and except for a gold one from TJ Maxx, not as gorgeous as yours! Love this vignette too!

  22. Oh Marty this is just beautiful!!! Love the checked pumpkin and how you mixed them with the others to create a wonderful vignette.

  25. Very pretty. Love the greens and browns together.

  26. Marty, I love the softer look, I think I might try it somewhere in my house. The more I see of these beautiful lighter colors the more I like it. Thanks so much for sharing.

    Make it a fabulous day!

  41. Fantastic Marty! The pumpkins' fabric looks terrific - love your neutral colors - as always, beautifully done! I do appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,

  42. I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own blog
and was curious what all is needed to get setup? I'm assuming having a blog like yours would cost a
pretty penny? I'm not very internet savvy so I'm not 100% certain.
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

  43. You actually make it seem so easy along with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually one thing that
I believe I would by no means understand. It
sort of feels too complex and extremely large for me.
I'm looking ahead in your next put up, I'll try to get the cling
    of it!
