I love the check fabric on the table and the pillows, so I pulled out the check pumpkins I made last year and decided to use them on the coffee table to continue the frenchy, country rustic theme.
I elevated the larger pumpkin on a brass tiered stand that I've had for years. It gave it some importance.
This is the tutorial I shared last year on how to make fabric pumpkins. Mind were really simple, this is what I started with this year. Just a couple of leaves, so I thought they needed something extra.
A little shiny gold and silver to add some glitz and sparkle, a few acorns and I was done.
I think it flows well with the glitzy rustic centerpiece I created for the dining table. You can see that post here.
I love the look of gold and silver and I like to mix them in a room.
I am really enjoying the browns and greens for a softer look for fall.
I left out orange this year, how about you, did you decorate with the traditional oranges and reds?

Your coffee table vignette coordinates beautifully with your sofa. The pumpkins you made are adorable and soften the display. I love the colors and tones you're using this season.

I used a lot of brown and ivory in my decor this year. Trying to get away from the bright orange. I remember those pumpkins!! Looks good with the berries!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty ! Love your check pumpkins :)
ReplyDeleteDarling! I forgot to take a picture of my fabric pumpkins... :(
DeleteI used a lot of burgundies, sage and orange this year. I got rid of all my old fall silks and bought new when HL had a sale.

I am thinking simple this fall too. Your pumpkin display is a great fall look for the rest of the room.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of keeping it simple. Especially when the simple is so attractive. I like the fabric pumpkin. I am thinking of spray painting a couple of pumpkins and then stenciling them. All I need is time to do it.
ReplyDeleteMarty, your fall decor is so pretty! The pumpkins are wonderful! You always create such beautiful vignettes!
ReplyDeleteYour coffee table display is stunning! I like seeing all the different colour schemes and textures bloggers come up with to reflect the fall season. Indeed, brown and green are the colours we see before the leaves turn "all the way" and you've shown us how lovely they can be..

Love your pumpkins Marty, and love that big acorn. I have never seen them before and now I keep seeing them. Guess I am out of the loop. ;)

Hi Marty, I love your decor! I just started blogging, but I still haven't put my own fall decor out--too warm for me :)
ReplyDeleteSoooo pretty, Marty! I love your Fall color palette ... your fabric pumpkins are so sweet ... loved that you mixed silver and gold in for fun pops of "bling," and your green accents work beautifully with it all (love the green/brown/white pillows)!
ReplyDeleteI love the soft greens and browns. Orange is sometimes harsh to work with. You mixed everything beautifully. I love your fabric pumpkins.
ReplyDeleteI love how you have decorated for Fall, Marty. I love the checks and those pumpkins are adorable. I need to drag my Fall stuff out this week-starting tomorrow I think- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love your vignette, Marty! Your pumpkins look great. I love how they work so well, not just in your living room, but with your whole home. I'll bet they would fit in great anywhere you decide to put them.
ReplyDeleteWish I had some of your gorgeous pumpkins Marty, mine are all store-bought and except for a gold one from TJ Maxx, not as gorgeous as yours! Love this vignette too!

Orange and red are always in my home. The place is aflame with it right now. Red is always here but not orange. ONLY Fall brings it out. I love color..but I love your lovely soft colors too. Marty, I have NO idea who I am or what I like the most time. Never have..probably never will! :)

Love your pumpkins Marty!
ReplyDeleteI know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own blog
ReplyDeleteand was curious what all is needed to get setup? I'm assuming having a blog like yours would cost a
pretty penny? I'm not very internet savvy so I'm not 100% certain.
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
You actually make it seem so easy along with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually one thing that
ReplyDeleteI believe I would by no means understand. It
sort of feels too complex and extremely large for me.
I'm looking ahead in your next put up, I'll try to get the cling
of it!
