After I did a little Farmhouse Chic black and white in the living room, I needed something for the adjoining dining area as a centerpiece for the table. Since the table is dark I wanted something light and bright.
I decided that I didn't want to set it with table settings, just a centerpiece of some sort. I love this swan and haven't used it for a while, so this is a piece I wanted to work with. I had the carved slab out at Christmas with my nativity and it makes a perfect pedestal for the swan. I also found a really fun wheat bundle candlestick at a thrift store the other day when I was out with a friend shopping, so I wanted to use that too. How to tie this all together was my delima.
Plants, they always do the trick. When in doubt add some greenery and it usually works.

I love using little pots of plants all over the house.
My pretty new wheat bundle candlestick looks great and for $4.85 this was a steal.
Do you like to use plants all over the place and how about little pots, do you use them too? Come back tomorrow and I'll show you how to make an assortment of these little pots and where to display them.

Your table looks great, Marty. I always think the center of the table is one of the hardest places to do.
