The Patio Gets A Few New Treasures

With the pool finished of course we are spending a lot more time out on the patio, so time to freshen it up with some of my new treasures.  We still don’t have any of the landscaping started, we are waiting on our guy to show us his drawings and give us a price.  However, enjoying the patio, deck and pool is still top priority.  I just try to ignore the part of the yard that is still a mess.  I want to give our furniture a brown/gray wash, but that hasn’t happened either.  Right now it is way too hot to try and paint.  That doesn’t mean it can’t look a little better.

A couple weeks ago my daughter and I went shopping after Church and found so many wonderful treasures for me and for her.  She’s having a new house built that is totally amazing, so she found some mirrors and some gorgeous pendant lights for her 12ft. island.  I can’t wait to show you her new home when it is done.

We found this rug on sale for me at AtHome.  Perfect size – 8 x 10 and for only $129.  That’s quite the bargain I thought.

AtHome also had this really cute galvanized coffee table.

I loved the punched tin top.  I found a concrete candle holder that is citronella at Home Goods too.

I also put out the new cushions I got for Mother’s day for the furniture.  I love the soft gray and brown pattern.  It will look especially good when I get the furniture painted.

Hopefully as soon as some of the landscaping is done we can start on the makeover on the patio.  We are going to top the concrete slab with travertine tile, add a trellis on the back side, curtains, paint and then some new furniture.

This really isn’t following my dream plan for the patio yet, but at least this looks better and I am loving it.

P.S.  With all the dust that is going to be kicked up with the landscaping guys, Jim suggested we just put the old cushions back on.  They look good too.

So either way it’s a nice place to sit and have a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening – If The Weather Is Cool Enough.  If not then I’ll just be in the pool.
