End Of Summer All White Master Bedroom

I know it is the end of summer for most parts of the country, however here in the desert, we will have warm temperatures all the way through September.  So when I was thinking about changing up and refreshing the master bedroom, of course cool all white came to mine.

A white spread, shams and pillows with just a touch of soft beige.  I love a mixture of white, cream and beige.

It is so nice to be able to make up the bed and see it pretty again.  Ever since I had my surgery on June 26th, this is what my bed has looked like.  I have been on strict orders to NO BLT (Bend-Lift-Twist).  Also at first I couldn't twist around and get into bed since our bed is so tall, so hubby made me a platfom to help me get into bed.

Our bedspread and all the pillows I did have on the bed have been neatly stacked over here under the window.

I only have 5 more weeks of physical therapy and I am sort of semi-normal.  That means I can bend a little and have more movement, so I decided it was time to make up the bed.

Everything was cleared out and I started from scratch.

It's fun to shop the house and use some of my favorite pillows

The ottoman got a pretty pillow too.  This is where I sit and put on my shoes every day, I really enjoy this space.

The top of the dresser got a few fresh accessories too.  All white here also.

Now I feel like we are more normal and I love walking in and seeing a pretty made bed.

(First thing on my to do list when I can is paint that jewelry armoire.  It is now starting to bug me. haha )

  1. Marty, I'm glad you are getting better. When you have an ailment of any sort, projects like this start to eat at you. Don't they? You just can't wait until you are 100% again...that's what has happened to me again.

Your white bedroom looks perfect for the heat of the end of summer. :)

  3. It is so good to hear that you doing much better. Healing is a process and recovering from back surgery is certainly that and more. Here in the deep south, we are only mid-way through our summer, so we still have plenty of time to enjoy the freshness of white. Thanks for the inspiration.

  6. I am so happy to hear you are doing better!Better enough to make the bed is great! While Joe was recuperating from his heart surgery we had a recliner at the foot of the bed for 2 months for him to sleep on. I was SO glad to get that out of the bedroom:) Your all white bedding and the pillows all look so pretty. Take care and be careful!!!

  8. I am so glad you are healing and feeling better. There is nothing worse than knowing we "can't" do something when we are "can-do" people. Love the white in the bedroom. I think it serene and lovely. Hope you have a great day, Marty. xo Diana

  10. Your bedroom is beautiful! Ha, I have the same jewelry chest. What color are you going to paint it? I was thinking about painting mine a soft white to help brighten the dark corner it sits. Glad you are doing better. Good luck with your project down the road but not too soon!
