Master Bedroom – Cozy Living Series

I am thrilled to be joining a group of friends for another Cozy Living Series.  All the links will be at the end of this post. Special thanks to Jennifer from Town and Country Living who hosts this series each month for including me.

Can you believe it’s already November?  It’s the first Saturday of the month which means I’m joining a few of my favorite bloggers to bring you some of the ways we create cozy and warm spaces in our homes.

Early this summer I made a new bed skirt.   I had been using one with a dark background and pattern for years.  Time for a change, so I switched things up and went with white.  An all-white bed always looks so fresh to me.  I kept it simple with just black and white pillows and decor.  You can see the previous bed skirt here.

I am not ready to add Christmas just yet, but I wanted something with more fall colors, and yet still light and neutral.   I love it when a room can take on new looks with just a few changes.  I love soft camel colors.  So I pulled out my favorite grouping,

Soft camel colors always seem perfect for fall to me.  It reminds me of the changing leaves.

The straw pillows add fun and a different kind of texture.  (You can see the detail of the headboard and how I painted it here. )

I used a straw hat this summer as part of my decor, so I added one back in this time too for fun.

Super simple and neutral keeps the room feeling cozy and relaxing.

I’ve kept all the other accessories in the room very simple.  I think less is more.

A simple green bouquet on the nightstand looks fresh next to the brass lamp.

This will be perfect until it is time to add a little Christmas.

Be sure to check out all the ways my friends are adding something warm and cozy to their homes.

So lovely Marty! You’re so right about the freshness of white bedding, and I especially love all of the cozy textures you brought in with your pillows and that gorgeous plaid throw!

Marty I love your bed! The colors are soft and pretty, and I love your headboard. I never would’ve guessed it was painted. I also love that little white horse and the floral arrangement and vase next to it. They’d both look great in my home! LOL. Welcome to the Cozy Living series! It’s so great to have you join in the fun each month.

So serene and welcoming! I, too, am a fan of white bedding. And that touch of camel makes me think of a cozy cashmere sweater! So happy to be getting cozy with you this month!

    🙂 Linda

I love the way you have used the fall colors. Some warmth, but also softness. Like the waning sun. The bed skirt looks nice. I like the Twelve Days of Christmas notion; I don’t start too early so I can leave things up until the new year.

I also love white bedding – it’s just so clean. The caramel colors you’ve added are so warm for fall.

I love the caramel colors too! With two Bernese Mountain dogs it’s hard to use white anywhere in the house! xo laura
