Pool & Patio Christmas Last Year

2019 Christmas on the patio and around the pool is just about the most perfect way to spend the Holidays. I love adding Christmas lights to make the whole area glow.  Living in the desert is really warm in the summer, but this time of year we have the most perfect weather.

Let’s start with the day time view of our patio.   We spend a lot of time out here.  Right now we are having temps in the 70’s so it couldn’t be more perfect.   I didn’t change up the decor too much from last year,  just a few things pulled from my stash to make it feel like Christmas.

The drapes and the roll down shade make it feel like an outdoor room.   The roll down shade filters the bright sun in the afternoon but doesn’t block the view of the rest of the backyard.   If we do have a chill at night we can light the lava firepit and we are toasty warm.

My really old Rag Santa is taking a rest outside too.  He loves this weather.

It’s always fun to pull things from my stash to decorate for the seasons.  The Merry Christmas Pillow, plaid throw, lantern and a few shiny brights made it look like Christmas.

Some colored lights on the plants and a cute little Christmas tree with battery lights make it festive at night.

The pool was my main “wish” when we bought this house. We remodeled the kitchen first, then the pool was a top priority.  It was finished in time for our first summer.  I love it and spend all summer just cooling off and relaxing in it.  My favorite place to be.

A few lights around the pool and it becomes a nighttime fairyland.

The pool light changes colors, so there is always something different to see.

Love this aqua color too, this is what the pool water looks like during the day.

I love being able to enjoy the season outside with such pretty surroundings and fabulous weather.   An hour and half drive to spend a day in the snow is all I need and then back to our own little slice of paradise.

Your patio is a lovely and perfect place to relax and spend leisure time. That pool is fabulous. I remember when you were building it in your new home !
I know you have wonderful and cherished memories memories with your loved one right by the pool. Always thinking of you dear friend..
I should get myself a pretty red plaid throw. Our weather here is like yours, but sometimes it gets pretty chilly, especially in the evenings.
Thank you for your sweet visit. I am not one that goes all over changing my house for a Holiday, actually, I don’t have that much patience, so what I do is pretty enough, lol. I love just what you do and your style.
    Have a lovely week ahead.

That trip to the snow would be Prescott…right??!!! I live in Prescott and if we get crazy snow we go down to Phoenix. Of course, hasn’t happened yet. We are having great November weather also.
Your pool looks so inviting!!! I enjoy your posts….thank you.

I love the pool Marty and remember when you and Jim put it in. I know in those hot months it is probably wonderful to have. The pool area from last year looks so pretty. Have a great week leading up to Thanksgiving. xoxo Kris

Oh Marty, I truly cannot even imagine being able to be outside enjoying perfect weather at Christmastime or any time during winter. We have much-too-hot and humid summers followed by much-too-cold humid winters. I love having 4 seasons, but seriously it’s gotten to be more like 2. Spring and summer are but a blip on the radar, and it’s gotten worse the older I get.

I tell you lady, one day I am going to call you and say I am in town and want to come by and meet you. Your pool – any time you share – is absolutely awesome. I am so glad you have good weather and your beautiful home and pool to enjoy. You have earned it.

Stay safe, stay well, stay thanksful.

    Hugs.

Thank you so much, I would love it if you came by. We would sit on the patio or get in the pool and talk for hours.
