Warming Up The Entry For Fall

Warming Up The Entry For Fall.  We don’t really have a separate entry, you walk right into our living room when you enter our home.  However, I do like to create the illusion of an entry on the long two-story wall on the left.  This is where I have a console, chair, and one of my favorite art pieces.  As I walked by the other day, I thought this area just needed some warming up.

I already had an assortment of twigs, pumpkins, and a lantern on the top of the console.  My little Blessed sign was a perfect addition too.  My simple DIY Art has just enough color and glitz with the gold to add a bit of interest to the area, it just needed something – something.  ( You can see my DIY Art Project here.  If you find a painting that doesn’t quite fit, add a few paint touches of your own and make it perfect. )

My puppy on the side stands at proud attention to greet all of my visitors too.  There was just one more thing to warm this whole area up a bit.

I think a throw always makes any space feel warm and pulled together.  I especially love this simple windowpane camel and white throw and it is perfect to go with my leather chair.   I added a leather pumpkin and a few twigs for fun.  I think these were the something – something things this area needed.

This space has been one that’s seen quite a few changes.  This is a picture of how it looked before the pretty gray console and leather chair.  I think it’s always fun to see the evolution of an area.

Warming Up The Entry For Fall just took a couple of tweaks to give this area the warmth and welcoming feel I was looking for.

It always amazes me how a throw can warm up any spot.  How about you, do you like using throw blankets too?
