Wrapping Tips & Ideas for Baked Goods As Gifts

I love Christmas and all the hustle and bustle that goes with it.  So fun to find gifts for all my friends and loved ones.  Toys are always #1 for the children and some special baked treats are in demand for some of my family and friends.  I love to make these baked goods look special so I have a few Wrapping Tips & Ideas for Baked Goods As Gifts.

I love to be able to have something I know everyone will like, so baked goods are always a winner.  Sometimes I make a ton of cookies to share but it seems like everyone always asks for my Banana Bead and my Pumpkin Bread.

Last year I had requests for 10 loaves of each (pumpkin & banana) from family and friends.  Four of my grandsons always want a loaf of Banana Bread just for themselves – no sharing.  So I always make sure they each get their own loaf.  Then I have another group that always wants my Pumpkin Bread, so I bake a ton of that too.  20 loaves in all, baked and in the freezer.

You can find my recipes for Pumpkin Bread here and my Banana Bread here.

I do make cookies for our family as well as the breads, so I have a couple of tips and ideas for how to wrap them as gifts.

When I have a lot of baking to do I start early.  Most everything freezes well, so I make most of it a couple of weeks in advance and just freeze it. I have a second refrigerator in the garage, so I can use the freezer section of that refrigerator too.  Here I have 10 loaves of bread that I put in freezer bags and store in the garage.  Then I have 10 more in the refrigerator in the house.

I bought some large cellophane gift bags that make the perfect thing to use to wrap them in.  I take them out of the freezer bag and slip them into the cellophane bags and tie the ends with the twist ties.  Then I add a pretty tag that says to and from and what kind of bread it is.  A pretty bow finishes off the package.

For cookies, I found some really fun Christmas tins that make a great presentation.  I line them with parchment paper, arrange a variety of cookies and then put the pretty lid on and they are ready to go.

Great ideas ! Thanks ! I like to make Pumpkin Chocolate Chip bread and wrap the loaf in a tea town – Christmas motif, often from the Dollar Store – and that is always a big hit. Thanks for your great ideas !
