Summer Basics Refresh

When you are retired and are home most of the time, your wardrobe doesn’t get the workout it use to when you were part of the corporate world.  My days are spent in comfy pants and shirts instead of dress pants and blazers.  Now I love to dress up, but my day-to-day wardrobe is what seems to take a beating.  Time for some Summer Basics Refresh

Basics are always the things that need to be refreshed.  I love this Boat Neck Dolman Sleeve tee from Chico’s  It is on sale for $27.96 and comes in several colors.  The fabric is a wonderful polyester knit that is soft and silky feeling.  A great fabric that won’t pill like cotton does so it is well worth the extra few dollars that it will cost.  You can find it here.  I bought it in Black and Navy, (there are a few other colors available too).  This is one that looks a little dressier, so it will be great for a dinner out or any kind of outing.

Summer Pants.  I am still a fan of lightweight knit pants.  So I ordered a couple more pairs of my favorites.  I am showing these in gray (that I love) but I ordered two more pairs in black.  These are from Walmart and are only $9.97.  You can find them here.  They come in Navy, Gray, and Black.  I wear the Large so they are loose and look more like a trouser.

I am due for a new summer nightgown and thought this one looked fun.  I tend to spend half the morning running around in my gown, so this one looks presentable at least.  From Shein and only $7.00.

I need a new pair of sandals too.  I have worn my basic black ones until they need to be replaced.  I found these Sam Edelman leather ones on sale for $32.88.  They also have a fabulous luggage tan one too.

I think this will get things up to date and restocked for a while.  Then maybe it will be time for a new bathing suit.  Do you need to refresh some basics for Summer too?
