Summer Basket for April Pinterest Challenge. I am thrilled to be joining a wonderful group of ladies for the April Pinterest Challenge hosted by Cindy @ at Country Road 407. This is where we are given an image and our challenge is to recreate the mood and feel of that image. Sometimes that is easy and sometimes that is hard.
This month’s challenge comes from Le Cultivateur’s beautiful Spring Basket.
I love how she filled a basket with tons of beautiful spring flowers and buds surrounded by a cute bunny and pretty tapered candles.
The highlights that I tried to recreate are the flowers and pretty tapered candles. Since Easter is over, I left the bunny out and just created a centerpiece that could last all summer.

I love to create a pretty table in my breakfast area since that is where we eat most of our meals. It just makes every day seem special.
I used a simple table runner down the center of the table. The place settings each have a gold charger, white plate, and plaid napkin that have the same colors as the flowers. I used my gold flatware and some gold candlesticks that I had. I finished off each place setting with a pretty gold base glass.
Instead of potted flowers like she used, mine are all faux. I used a galvanized bucket I had instead of a basket. The flowers are a big assortment of things I had in my stash. There’s a little bit of everything, but my favorite are the sunflowers. To me, it looks happy and cheerful and says Summer.
This is a centerpiece that I can leave all summer. Simple enough for every day or for company. To change things up, a different place setting would be all that I would have to do.

The table looks beautiful. I love your flower arrangement and the metal container you used. I’m just now taking my Easter things off my table.🤭 I am definitely influenced by the tablescapes that of yours and all the others to get to work in my dining room.❤️
Your centerpiece tin basket is beautiful with all the soft flowers, especially the sunflowers! Good faux flowers are perfect for today’s tablescapes and our busy lives; they just keep looking lovely. Nicely done!! Love the tin basket as a change-up.
