We have had rain on and off ever since Christmas. Now I know some of you are knee-deep in snow and ice so I shouldn’t be complaining, but we so rarely have bad weather that all this rain and dreary skies kind of gets me down. I love the sunshine. One of the things I like most about this house is all the huge windows. We get fabulous light in here, except when there is no sun. So I decided the Answer To Rainy Weather Is – Add A Little Sunshine Inside.
I love yellow and this just looks happy to me. A simple yellow plaid throw, a pillow, and this looks like Spring or Summer especially if you add in the straw hat.
I love adding Yellow to my living room. Over the past few years I’ve created several simple color schemes with just a little yellow and white.
I love adding some pretty yellow to the dining area too.
And look how fabulous a few yellow and white tulips look on the kitchen island.
Ok, our rain is supposed to stop this weekend and we should have some nice warm weather. So I will stop complaining and go buy some pretty yellow flowers and enjoy them the rest of the week. Then I plan on spending a ton of time outside in the sun this weekend. How about you, are you tired of dreary days?
You know adding a punch of yellow is just the right idea! I need to get some yellow flowers! I like your touches of yellow and that really does add a touch of sunshine! We are dug in with snow and cold temps but when the sun comes out I think you can hear a collective sound of happiness!
Fresh flowers are a mood booster, for sure. I am looking forward to sitting in the sun this weekend. I am so over dreary days!
