Labor Day Party Menu

Labor Day Party Menu.  This is the end of the summer season, so time to take advantage of the last of those warm days and have a fun pool party for the Holiday.  Getting friends and family together is always fun, so I love taking advantage of any holiday to get all the gang together. Right now the pool water temperature is perfect.  Warm enough to feel amazing and cool enough to feel refreshing.

I love to have plenty of dips and chips around for everyone to enjoy, and it’s fun to add a few extra treats to our snacking menu.  Last year some of my friends and I shared recipes for a blog party called Budget Friendly Recipes.  We had tons of fun and I love all the recipes they shared.  For my party, I think I will make a few of them.  I hope you will give some of them a try, they really are delicious.

Who doesn’t love Pizza – these wonderful Easy Prosciutto Pizza Rolls from Christy @ Our Southern Home are definitely a crowd pleaser.

When it is time to fire up the BBQ, Chicken is so easy and perfect for any party.

Grilled Chicken With Strawberry Salsa.  This is such a great recipe shared by Suzy @ Worthing Court, and so perfect for a fun part.

Grilled Potatoes In Foil.  This is perfect for any BBQ.  Make ahead and then throw on the grill.  This recipe came from Spend With Pennies.

For the adults that want something from the bar, these Summer Cocktails from Carol @ Bluesky At Home will fit the bill.

For Dessert, Easy Peach Cobble and Ice Cream.  The perfect dish to finish any party.

Make sure the pool is clean and sparkling, then sit back and have fun with the gang.

    Hi Marty,

Looking at your pool reminded me you planted a Spring garden and I guess I missed how that was going. Will you plant again for your great Winter growing season? I so miss climates that allow Winter growing.

The spring garden was just ok. I planted some things too late and then our weather was really, really hot, so it kind of ruined some things. We totally enjoyed the lettuce and tomatoes the best. Great salads. We’re still in the temps of 110 so I still need to wait to plant a winter garden. Thanks for asking. Marty
