Over the 7 years that we’ve lived here, our backyard has gone through several transformations. We just finished a huge Backyard Transformation that I love. It looks totoally different than when we started. Now it’s finally a backyard ready for fun, family and friends.
When we bought the house, there was nothing but gravel in the backyard. A total blank slate.
We started immediately drawing up plans for a pool and a little over 4 months later it came to life. Our plants grew and it soon was our favorite spot in the yard.
We left gravel on this side of the yard, but added a small garden area.
Now it was time to give the yard more structure and more places to play and enjoy, A great landscaping crew came out and started their magic.
They removed most of the geravel and started laying out their design.
They started laying travertine pavers in a pattern to create squares. So far it looks great, can’t wait to see how it all comes together.
Next they added the finishing touch with beautiful turf.
I love how this transforms the yard into something we can truly use and enjoy, plus it is so much cooler in the summer too.
