Our temperatures have been above 100° for days, so working on the patio or backyard has taken a back seat to anything else. I manage to go from the back door to the pool and then back inside again without melting, so that is about as far as I’ve been. The patio has become a mess quickly, so time for a really Easy Patio Cleanup.
When it’s this hot, you put on your bathing suit, jump in the pool, then get out and work for a couple of minutes, then back into the pool. That’s fun, but being in the pool is more fun, so that’s why this cleanup needs to be simple and easy.
We had some strong winds the last few days, so pillows were blown all over the place. The pato was also in need of a good cleaning. I got out the leaf blower and blew everything off. That was the fastest way I knew to clean this place up.
I thought I would just keep things on the soft neutral side, so some gray and white pillows. I try to buy just pillow covers, so that makes it real easy to swap things out.
and a fun gray plaid throw blanket. ( See that poor struggling palm, I forgot to water it for a week, so it is hurting. It’s still alive, so I am now giving it some tender loving care. )
A small pot of summer flowers and a metal column for the coffee table made everything fresh.
This is a small space, so it is really easy to change things up. Here are a few previous looks throughout the seasons.
Now the patio is clean and ready to sit and enjoy the backyard. Maybe even a dip in the pool.
Pretty much I can change up the patio with a simple Easy Patio Cleanup anytime. I just need to do it more often.
