Front Porch Cleaned and Fluffed

Time to really clean up the front porch again.  Living in Arizona, I reserve the lawn for the backyard and have desert landscaping in the front.  Last week I finally got around to giving the front a good cleaning again.  Such an ongoing project.  I hosed off the front of the house, cleaned windows and really cleaned the porch.  I love it when it looks all fresh and dust free even if it only lasts about 10 minutes. lol   We have farms about 1/2 mile away from us and they are constantly plowing and planting something.  A lot of dust.

Nothing new, I redid the porch rockers and made the cushions last year, they have held up pretty good.

A view to the front door.

The wreath got a little redo too.

I love the outdoor fabrics.  Just hose them off and they look good as new.

I have some of the strangest little frogs.  This one fits the front patio perfectly with his green color.  I showed you the huge one in the back yard earlier this week.

The garden bench is just the perfect size for a couple of glasses of iced tea.  This is the Big Lots one that I painted.

This is a pic from last year to show what it looked like when I bought it.  Just plain white.

I used these two colors of spray paint, some stain and some clear to transform it.

The light aqua at the bottom and a dark green at the top.

Then I sponged some stain all over the top green and down into the aqua a little.  I finished it off with 2 coats of the clear.

I like the finished look.  It adds just the right amount of color to the porch.  I was so happy to find this garden stool, they are usually so expensive, and this was only $30.  I think painting it made it look super expensive.

Just about time to think of fall and what I am going to do to spruce it up.

I am joining Kelly @ Kelly’s Korner for Show Us Your Porches.
