When we moved in 3 years ago, remodeling the kitchen was the first thing we did 2 weeks after moving in.
I love how it turned out and it is still my favorite room in the house.
Each season I love to switch up some of my accessories to change up the feel of the space.
The back of our home is one big long room with the kitchen and breakfast area on one side and the family room on the other.
Let’s start with the breakfast area first.
We are lucky to have a nice big area to accommodate our farmhouse trestle table.
These two big windows allow plenty of sunshine to brighten up this area.
I added the wicker chairs at the ends earlier this year to give the more a more casual look.
For the summer months, I’ve kept the table minimal with just a simple centerpiece vignette.
We seem to be eating more of our meals outdoors lately.
Next to this area is the kitchen.
Ours isn’t a really large kitchen, however, we do have a separate walk-in pantry and separate walk-in dish room.
I’ve tried to find accessories that add some interest to my work area.
My drunken chef is so fun, he always finds a place and I love my brass try to corral all my necessary items.
It’s fun switching up the vignette on the island.
I found this little galvanized cloche dish the other day, so of course, it had to come home with me.
