Last year I joined a group of ladies for a 2019 Embracing Fall Tour hosted by Amber @ Follow The Yellow Brick Home. I really like how the living room looked for fall using some bright orange. I thought it was worth repeating here. I hope you like to look back on some previous tours too.
2019 Embracing Fall Tour
Now that the temps have cooled down and we are enjoying some really nice cool nights around here, I am adding some color. I love all the warm autumn colors. They are my favorites, all the oranges, deep reds, golds, greens, and rusty colors totally speak to me.
I brought out some bright orange and plaids this time around. I think those colors just say Fall and I love how cheerful and bright they are. I am mixing in some grays and also mixing a couple of different plaids for texture and character.
I added another plaid to the chair in front of the window.
When you mix all the different plaids together, each one adds to the character of the room and since they are all so different, they don’t fight.
I like to bring in different grasses, berries, feathers and greenery for fall. These just seem to bring in the beauty of nature this time of year.
The dining area got a tiny change too. Since they are all one room, I like to coordinate the colors and style.
That was fun and I love how these colors truly captured the warmth of fall.
I like the simplicity, just enough! Beautiful, this inspires me to get started!

I am seeing so much more “pumpkin orange” in the magazines lately – not just for autumn, but a re-emerged color.

Marty. Love. Love your decorating for Fall. The addition of the fall colors adds a rich beauty to your room. Oh how i love the orange. I wish i could replicate your style in my home. Your talents will be a great source for your healing as you travel the path of grief. Losing your spouse is the hardest grief. It was for me and it still is. Your beautiful home will comfort you. It will be a place of peace almost sacred. Bless you my dear friend.
