Simple Summer Table Decor Ideas

If you are like me, you like less is more and light and bright for summer.  I love to create really pretty table settings and vignettes for my dining, coffee, and end tables, but during summer, I like for them to be a little more simple.  I thought I would share some of my Simple Summer Table Decor Ideas.

I think what we put on our dining or coffee tables, usually reflects the theme of the room.  I love using trays and basket trays are by far my favorite.  I have several different ones that could easily be used on a coffee table or dining table.  These could also grace a kitchen island as well.  There are all kinds of things you can add to a basket tray.  I love using whatever I have, it seems like most anything works.

(You can see a few more tray and basket ideas here.)

I have glass coffee tables and they can be tricky to decorate.  You want things to show, but still, look casual and uncluttered.  Plants and more basket textures are great choices.

Sometimes amazing plants and candle holders add something extra special and are still simple.

A simple ivy, candle, and tray can create beautiful texture again while still being simple.

Setting a pretty table in the dining room or breakfast area is one of my favorite things to do.  In my dining room, this one is really suitable for summer.  No linen tablecloths or runners, just wicker.

I like to use two runners sometimes on my trestle table instead of placemats.  This gives the table a whole different look.  Again a simple vignette is all the table needs.

Trays are perfect for the kitchen island too.  I especially love to use the wicker trays in the kitchen, great texture against all those shiny surfaces.

Trays keep all the decor in one spot and helps with my less is more decorating.

Thank you, I guess you know I struggle with my glass top tables, anything I add looks lie clutter. I will be on the look out for trays.

Stunning share, Marty! My favorite summer table decor idea is using found jars and filling them with votive candles.
