2021 Summer Home Tour – My Home. I am thrilled to be starting off the tours today. We have 30 fabulous ladies over the next 5 days, opening the doors to their homes and sharing how they decorate for summer. Be sure to check out the entire lineup at the bottom of this post. You don’t want to miss a single home.
Summer in the desert can be a bit warm, so I want my home to look cool and inviting. When outside is 110+ degrees, I need the inside to look icy cool. Soft pale blue seems to do that for me. So this year I went with a really simple color scheme of soft blue and white.
These pillows are actually pretty close to Tiffany Blue, so that makes it even better. A little luxury and glam is always a good thing don’t you think?
I kept the rest of the room in tones of white and cream to let the blue be the dominant focal point.
Most of the accessories in the room are simple, less is more is my new favorite way to decorate.
The coffee table has a few books on the bottom shelf and a basket tray on top holds some flowers, coral, and a beautiful stone cross I found a while back.
Our wonderful 9ft. tall windows always give this room such a beautiful glow. I love all the light that pours in.
The dining area is at the other end of this room, so I created a tablesetting using the same Tiffany Blue colors. I used straw mats and white-washed candlesticks to help create a soft coastal vibe.

Thanks, most of my linens come from Home Goods. Actually, I usually browse the linen section at most any store. Then sometimes I buy fabric and make my own. I made today’s table runners, the napkins I found at Home Goods.
