Patriotic Porch

I am thrilled to be joining a wonderful group of ladies for the June Pinterest Challenge hosted by Cindy @ at Country Road 407.  This is where we are given an image and our challenge is to recreate the mood and feel of that image.  Sometimes that is easy and sometimes that is hard.  This month we are to create our version of a Patriotic Porch.

Our Inspiration Photo for June comes from Better Homes & Gardens.  They are mainly telling you how to hang bunting, however, they did an amazing job decoring the porch.

If you are coming over from The Ponds Farmhouse, welcome.  I am sure you loved her Patriotic 4th.

I don’t have much of a front porch so I am going to use my back porch or patio to create my Patriotic Porch.

This is where we spend most of our time since the pool is nearby.  This is also a great place to sit and relax and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning.

Our inspiration photo shows the use of Red, White & Blue Patriotic colors.  I did the same.  I dug through my stash and found an assortment of blue pillows and red and white flowers.

I also had a few flags that I used on the front door basket for Memorial Day, so I stuck those in some of the planters and my floral centerpiece.

I really do love these Patriotic colors, they totally speak USA to me.

Next up is Thistle Key Lane, I know you will love her beautiful patio.  Be sure to check out all my friends to see their Patriotic Porches.  Just click on any link below.  I can hardly wait to check them all out.

Those pillows look perfect lined up like that and you can never go wrong with extra flags! Sorry that I just saw your comment today about not getting the email. We were out of town wedding dress shopping for my daughter and I have yet to get to my emails. So sorry. Not sure what happened but I’m glad you got it worked out. Thank you for joining us. I bet you’re enjoying that pool! pinned

I wish I could have used our back porch like you have, Marty. Yours looks terrific and I love that you are just a few steps from hopping into the pool!! I like the small metal table you’ve used here as a coffee table; it’s a nice size for moving around to use in many ways! I have several little cast aluminum ones I use in the house but they come outside as needed for drinks and such. Lovely!!!

Happy 4th to you and I hope your weather stays cool,
    Hugs,
    Barb 🙂
