I love a mix of traditional, modern, rustic, and farmhouse and that is exactly what MODERN FARMHOUSE is all about. This is not your grandma’s farmhouse and it is not country farmhouse. It is adding a modern twist to all your farmhouse decor, and adding a little farmhouse to your modern room. Here are a few examples of How To Get That Modern Farmhouse Look.

This post I did a while back has been pinned thousands of times, and I always get tons of questions. Here are a few tips on How To Get That Modern Farmhouse Look.

I recently found a fabulous woven table runner (at my favorite consignment shop) that had to come home with me. It reminds me of those wonderful crazy quilts that our grandmothers made. This is the perfect example of how Modern Farmhouse takes inspiration from the past and interprets it for today.
Heavy rustic yarn is woven together to create a striking “crazy quilt” pattern. The extra-wide width creates a dramatic base for my table setting.
We love our farmhouse table and chairs. They are a set that I’ve had for years and use every day. It’s where we love to gather with family most of the time. I’ve added wicker placemats, a tin lantern, and simple white finials as my centerpiece. The gold-based glasses add a touch of modern glitz just for fun.
Lantern chandeliers are often used in farmhouse decor. They are also used in many modern rooms too. A versatile option for most any room.
Our farmhouse table has a trestle base with twisted legs and I love the way the ladderback chairs have a graceful cut-out. The woven seats are also very typical of a lot of farmhouse chairs.

Just add a few of your favorite “farmhouse” accessories into the mix and enjoy. Modern Farmhouse seems to be the best of both worlds, marrying the past and present together.
