Changing Things Up In The Family Room

 

The back of our house is one long room that shares the family room area with the kitchen and breakfast area.  Head out the sliding door, and you are on the patio and steps away from the pool and yard.  Naturally, this is the area we all seem to hang out in most of the time. Since this is the room I see the most, Changing Things Up In The Family Room gave me something different to look at.

This isn’t a large room, so keeping the decor simple and uncluttered seems to help the space feel larger.

 

The sofa is super comfortable, but my favorite place to sit is in one of these soft gray leather recliners.  I love their simple straight lines with a bit of wood detail.

 

This side of the room is our entertainment area.  The console holds the grands toys on one side and a collection of throws on the other side.  I love that I have another surface to decorate too.

My horse painting takes center stage in the room and keeps the walls simple.

 

The sofa is my favorite place to swap out pillows.  I love changing out the color schemes in here often.

 

I love how a basket can create the perfect cewnterpiece.  Mine holds a simple bouquet, candle and pretty bead rope.

This house has amazing large windows and gets tons of sunlight.  Perfect for growing plant

I’ll probably change the pillows again in a couple of weeks, it’s always fun to change things up.
