I am so excited to start off the 2020 Summer Home Tours. 30 homes over the next 5 days. We have some of blogger’s best opening their doors to share their 2020 Summer Home Tour with you. You don’t want to miss a single tour, so mark your calendar to come back all week. You’ll find a complete listing of all 30 homes at the bottom of the post. Today I am sharing my 2020 Summer Home Tour – Living Room.
I love, love, love all the fabulous light that shines in my living room from those 9 ft. windows.
They make the room glow so any color combination I add seems perfect. This summer I am loving a blue and white color scheme.
Our home opens up right into the living room. This console and chair create the feeling of an entrance.
A marble book, magnifying glass, simple plant, and concrete thinking man decorate the top.
This is one of my favorite faux plants.
If you can’t grow something real, then look for good quality faux.
Some are really hard to tell the difference. I found this one at Hobby Lobby a few years ago.
The blue and white pops against all the white in the living room area.
This is a comfy spot to enjoy all that glorious sunshine.
The sofa and a couple of chairs create the perfect conversation area.
A mix of patterns in the pillows adds texture and some interest to a neutral room.
I’ve kept the coffee table decor simple with just a couple of lanterns and a small bouquet.
The big plant in the corner and flowers on the table add life to the room.
I think every room needs plants real or faux.
The dining area is part of this same space, tucked into the corner of the stairs.
This space is large enough that we can add several leaves to the dining table to entertain larger crowds.
The wine cabinet and buffet finish off this area.
The buffet is styled with a simple vignette.
A couple of my favorite chocolate wines are in the tray.
Simplicity is the key also for the dining table. A simple basket vignette is all I added.
