Grateful Gatherings

I am so happy to be joining a wonderful group of ladies today to share our Thanksgiving Tables with you.  This is truly the season for Grateful Gatherings when we can be with all our family and friends to share a special holiday and meal.  Thanks so much to Laura @ Decor To Adore for hosting this special party.

If you came over from My Family Thyme, welcome.  I am so thrilled to have your here.  I am sure you loved her tablesetting as much as I did.  Such talent is hard to beat.

If you have followed me for a while you know that I love to take something “old” and create something “new”.  I don’t think we always have to re-invent the wheel every time we create a new table setting or decorate.  I’ve had a pretty Fall Table set for a while and love it.  Simple and something that I can redo with just a few changes.

The centerpiece of this tablesetting is really simple, just a nod to the fall holiday season with a few pumpkins.

The basic tablesetting is one that I can use with just a few changes.  I love the two crossed tablerunners and the gold chargers and napkins will work really well for my Thanksgiving table.  If I swap out a few things, I can create a totally different table.  First off is to remove the ivy, stemwarea and candles.  This give me a fresh base to start with.  I had a pretty Fall Floral arrangement on the coffee table that I think I will move to the table.   This adds a touch of elegance to the table.

Now I need to find some pretty stems that will compliment the setting.  I think these pretty amber ones will work really well.

Since this is a special occasion, I think I will also swap out the silverware with my pretty bone set.  This adds a touch of elegance to the table without going overboard.

I like the table so far, but it really needs one finishing touch.  I think every pretty table needs candles.

Now I think this is finished.  I love the natural wood candles, they add another natural element to the table

A new re-created table that continues the theme of my living room.

Next up on the tour is Peacock Ridge Farm.  You are going to love her beautiful cornucopia charcuterie board.  She definitely knows how to entertain in style.  Then be sure to click on any of the links below to see all of the tables.

I’m always impressed with the creative way you use runners, Marty. And I always think, “why didn’t I think of that?” Think I need to invest in some duplicate runners so I can intersect them like this, or use them on both sides of the table like you have in the kitchen; so smart.
