Season Of Thanks Blog Hop

With Thanksgiving coming up really soon, I thought I better get my house in shape.  I am thrilled that I will be having company for the Holiday, that always makes the day so much more special.   Since we will be having most of our meals in the breakfast room I thought I should set a pretty everyday table for us.  We will have our main Thanksgiving Dinner with all the family at my daughter’s.  I kept the breakfast table simple for a Season Of Thanks.

I am thrilled to be joining a wonderful group of ladies for a Season Of Thanks Blog Hop, hosted by Amber @ Follow The Yellow Brick Home.  If you came over from Amber’s, welcome.   I am sure you loved her gorgeous kitchen all dressed for Thanksgiving.  She always creates the most amazing spaces.  There will be a complete list of participants at the end of the post.

Our breakfast area is a cozy nook at the end of the kitchen.  I love that I can use my trestle table, it can seat six with extra space and 8 for a more cozy grouping if we need to.  I like to create a pretty centerpiece that can stay on the table all the time.  So I put together one with a nod to Thanksgiving.

I kept things simple but gave a nod to the Holiday by using greenery, seasonal leaves, berries, and flowers.  I added in a silver gourd and partridge for a touch of glam.

The wood planter, concrete candle holders, and Rafia table runners bring in tons of nature.

Having a pretty centerpiece on the table always makes the breakfast area feel warm and inviting.

How about you, do you like to keep the table set every day?

Next up is Debra @ Common Ground.   I love her style and the way she always pays such attention to detail.  Then be sure to check out all the participants listed below, they are sure to inspire you with their beautiful creations.

Marty, I’m so happy you’ll be able to have company for Thanksgiving. To me, that changes everything! I love your breakfast table, especially the mercury glass pieces. I tried your crockpot recipe on a trial run for our small dinner, and it turned out great – thank you again for that recipe! I hope you find peace and a new sense of joy in this first Thanksgiving season without your beloved.

Marty, what a lovely Thanksgiving tablescape! I’m happy to hear that you will be having a gathering. I loved the idea of using 2 runners down the sides of the table instead of placemats. Happy Thanksgiving in this season of change.

Gorgeous tablescape. When I’ve had big changes in my life, we have often come up with a new tradition–I love holding hands and have everyone say one thing they are grateful for! Maybe this year it is a shoulder pat or elbow nudge! Glad you will have company to help you over the hump! Prayers.
