The Love Of My Life Is Strolling Heaven Today

Thank you all for your prayers, emails and love, it has meant the world to me. These past few weeks with both of us in the hospital with Covid 19 has been such a difficult time for our family.   Three weeks ago my husband Jim was working in the yard and we were swimming in the pool and laughing and enjoying life.  Then this hideous disease Covid 19 hit.  He went from a person with no underlying conditions to life support on a ventilator in days.  Now he is strolling through heaven and in the loving arms of Jesus.  My heart is crushed beyond repair, however, I have been so Blessed God gave me 36 of the happiest years of my life with this loving gentle man.  Hug your loved ones tight and thank God for every minute you have with them.  I am out of the hospital and recovering from my bought with pneumonia and Covid and will be off quarantine on the 20th.   I will be spending private time with my children and family.  Again thank you, your prayers, love and support have meant the world to me.

God Bless, Marty

Rejoice that you know where he is and he is thriving. He has just moved to a different location and God is taking excellent care of him. Be so very thankful that with God you will move there as well. You will reunite with him whenever your life plan, created by God, has been successfully completed. Then you and your love will stroll heaven together. Grace and Peace to you❤

So sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers. Take care of yourself. The phrase “And it came to pass” is used over 400 times in the KJV bible. There are times in life when we think we can’t bear one more day, one more hour, one more minute. No matter how bad things seem at the time, they are temporary here on Earth. Look for the hand of God in everything. He will help you through this time.

I’m a daily reader of your blog but had no idea you both were hospitalized with covid. Reading this did bring tears to my eyes. You’ve written about your talented husband landscaping your yard and other good things about him. 36 years of time together is not enough. I am so sorry for your loss. Thank God you are recovering and are blessed to have your family around you.

So sorry for your loss. I too lost my Husband several years ago. You will have a new “normal”. You will get through it with the help of God and family. This is a quote from a book i read.
    “Death’s power is limited —
    It cannot eradicate memories
    Or slay love
It cannot destroy even a threadbare faith
Or permanently hobble the smallest hope in God
    It cannot permeate the soul
And it cannot cripple the spirit
It merely separates us for a while
That is the only power death can claim
    –No more”

I am so very sorry for your loss. I know your heart is broken – into many pieces. I lost a son 4 years ago and I know about broken hearts. I send you prayers as you struggle with your grief.

“Grief, bereavement, the personal loss of a dear loved one is complicated. There are no words, no consolation, no condolence. Healing is a scaled process that shifts randomly, up and down a continuum, without any sense of progress, and without any conclusion. Grief, like enduring love, is permanent. Every once in a while someone says or does something that is helpful.”

I lost my husband suddenly, no warning, on July 8th this year after 53 1/2 years of marriage. I know what it is like. One of my friends brought me a picture from Hobby Lobby with this poem by Patsy Stambaugh Deskins. It has helped me so much. If you could see me now you wouldn’t shed a tear. Though you may not understand why I’m no longer here. Remember my spirit, that’s the real me. I’m still very much alive, oh, if you could only see! I’ve beheld our Father’s face. I’ve touched the Savior’s hand. The angels all rejoiced as I entered the Promised Land. Beyond the gates of Pearl, I walk on golden streets. I’ve touched the walls of Jasper, dipped my foot in the crystal sea. The beauty is beyond words, nothing can compare. I’ve even seen your mansion, someday I will meet you there. Allow Jesus to be your guide, His word will show you the way. So, please, don’t cry! We will meet again someday! May our Lord help you in this journey we are now on. Blessings, Ann Smith

  134. August 16, 2020 / 6:38 am

Marty, I just read the news about Jim’s journey home to the Lord on Kris’s blog. My heart is saddened by the news, and I so very much understand how you’re feeling, as my own husband left this earth in May 2007. He was my soul mate. Ironically, his name is Jim and we were married 36 years when he died suddenly. I know God will give you strength and courage to face each day, as I see He is already doing. It’s wonderful to see how many friends you have here that love you and are encouraging you. Friends and family are so important at this time. God bless you, Marty, and may He keep you firmly in His arms as you enter this new chapter in your life. My prayers are with you.

  136. August 16, 2020 / 8:00 am

Oh, Marty, I’m so very sorry for your loss. I lost my hubs 8 years ago quite suddenly so I know how it feels to be there one day and gone the next. Please know that my prayers are with you during this time. And it takes time, a lot of it. I was married for only 21 years and he was 55 so we had a whole lifetime ahead of us. Or so we thought.

One of my blog readers wrote this to me and it helped. Eventually. ‘It’s like having a marching band in your home, it’s so painful. But eventually they go outside, then down the driveway, and then down the street. They’re never completely gone, they’re just out of your house.’

God bless Marty. If you should ever feel the need to talk with someone, I’m available.

Way back when I started blogging in 2012, I remember you were one of The kindest the bloggers to everyone— giving recognition and support to so many of us! I haven’t blogged for a few years now but still keep an eye on my blogger friends through Facebook and Instagram. You are still a kind soul who keeps inspiring and supporting everyone! I am praying for you as you recover from your illness and as you navigate your life without your best friend physically beside you. He is now your angel, still beside you, loving you as he always has. Peace to you, sweet lady. May you find peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Marty, I am one of so many who have enjoyed and been inspired by your blog. Your love for your husband Jim, was obvious to your followers. I am so saddened by your loss, and send love and prayers. None of which is enough. I’m sorry to say I had no idea you or your husband were ill, I work in the medical field and though I do not work in a hospital, our out patient center has been so busy, I have not had much time or energy for browsing my favorite blogs. I hope you and your family are now well and continue to be.
This virus is not a hoax, it is not going away magically and we all need to be supportive of each other to get through this challenging time.
Though I have never met you, you have shared your journey through some difficult life choices, shared your talent for making your new house truly a home, and doing it all with such grace. Thank you. Marie

We have no close family. So I read several blogs and yours a favorite. I was so sorry reading about your husband. I am familiar with loss of close family so realize how difficult it can be when recent. Hope you are recovering and taking care of yourself.

I am deeply sorry for your loss dear Marty. I cannot imagine how hard it must be to lose your dear partner of life, you best friend, your companion, in sickness and in health and all the other things. Praying for you, so or Lord will give you comfort at this trying times.
My husband and I also contracted COVID-19 and were able to be treated at home and now we are free from it, thanking God for ever for surviving it.
Sending you a big hug and blessings.

Dear Marty this is one of the hardest things you will ever be going through. When my husband died a friend told me this and it helped me tremendously. Just Breathe . I hope it will help you some. Some days this will be all you can do. Take care.

I am so sorry for your loss. Although it’s been 10 years now, I also lost my husband suddenly. Life can change in an instant. It is wonderful that you have family close by you now. Pour your heart out in prayer & our Heavenly Father will draw close to you giving you the comfort & strength you need to get through. Another thing that helped me was knowing that my husband would want me to continue on & have a good & happy life. The love of your life, Jim, I’m
sure would want the same for you. Take comfort in knowing you have so many friends, that although we haven’t met face to face are praying for you, and holding you close in our thoughts right now.

Oh Marty .. I have followed you for years, and am just catching up today. I’m devastated to learn what you have been through. I’m so so sorry! My deepest sympathies on the loss of your husband. Wow, that sure makes covid more real for me… I’m just so sad for you. May you be surrounded with the love of family, God and know His peace in this trial. I think of the verse, “He is very close to the broken-hearted.” May you feel that in a tangible way. Love and prayers, Cynthia
