How-To Upgrade With Easy Budget Makeovers

How-To Upgrade With Easy Budget Makeovers.   When I think about a makeover, I usually think about a huge project that costs a fortune.  That’s not always the case.  Some of my best makeovers came about when I was trying to upgrade on a budget.

A DIY Paint Technique

Our laundry room was really a sad little space.  Just a small walk-through from the kitchen to the garage. A sample pot of black paint and a white shelf changed everything.  A DIY paint technique and a few decorations from my stash and now I love this room.  You can see this $40 makeover here.

This is what it looked like before I made a few changes.  I hung a few accessories and added some fabric bins to hide all the laundry stuff.  Not very appealing at all.

Another amazing Budget makeover was our small powder room.  Here is what that small room looked like with some accessories that I had in my stash.  Not bad, just ordinary.

Think Outside The Box

A small can of paint, a shelf, and some new accessories all for $50, and now it is up to date.  Simple DIY & accessories that made a huge impact. Think outside the box and treat a small space like a big room.  You can see this makeover here.

The master bathroom got a mini makeover when we moved in.  Upgrading the vanity was a total game-changer in this space, but the room still needed something.  The back tub wall looked so bare.  I wanted this space to look a little more luxurious and have some character.

Add One Statement Piece

Adding one statement piece of art that I had to the tub wall, totally transformed this area.  That one piece made a huge impact on the look and feel of the whole room.  You can see how this entire space was taken from “builder basic” to chic for $48 here.

When we moved in we put all the leftover weird stuff that didn’t fit anywhere else in this tiny Guest Bedroom to try and pull a space together that was usable.  Functional yes, but pretty, not so much.

The bed was ok and I could pull together some linens, but the rest needed help.   I found this amazing headboard for $29.50 and that was the beginning of a simple budget makeover that make a huge difference.   $29.50 Headboard Makeover.

DIY & Thrifted Finds

Budget Guest Bedroom Makeover Reveal.  A thrifted Dresser and a borrowed painting from my daughter and this room now looks ready for any guest.

Sometimes you don’t need to redo a lot, just a few changes can make all the difference.  Look around to see where you can create a huge impact in your home without spending a ton of money.  Get busy with a fun DIY project and change things up.
